I thought id try and explain my thoughts for our very first clan war tomorrow!!! We have 24 hours to attack and each player gets to attack Two Times. I think we should have all th8s go first, and it's sort of a "first come first serve" basis. So TH 8s get first pick of bases and just have to duke it out with other th8s after the th8s have their turn, th9s get to go. If a th8 only 1 starred a base and you want to try and get more stars... Feel free!! Or else, choose a new base to DESTROY!!! Same as th8- first come, first serve. Then th 10s go. They can go through and clean up if there are any bases they want to 3 star, or else they are stuck with probably the toughest bases. make sure you choose a base you now you can win and ideally 3 star if you need advice, feel free to ask! Remember everybody can scout bases so ask for any help you need! This is only our first ever clan war so let's treat it as a learning experience! A chance to see what works and what doesn't. LETS DO THIS!!!!

Remember if a base has already been 3 starred do not attack that base, thats the most stars you can get on the one base. So please do not waste your attack! Have fun and good luck clannies, lets crush these guys!!

Some thoughts:
1) Instead of waiting until all of the th8s have attacked, we could set a specific time for each th group. For example, th8s can start attacking right away, th9s have to wait until 8 hours of battle day has passed and th10s wait 16 hours.
2) We donated defensive troops way too early, before people had a chance to fill in their request.
3) I think we could come up with a better strategy for how we attack. During prep day, we could suggest an attack strategy for each opponent. Based on this list, WP members could plan their armies better. We could even sign up to attack specific targets.
4) We should probably identify how often we intend to be in a war. We have a few inactives this time around that will likely cost us stars. If we don't war very often, that's not a big deal. If we war constantly, then they may need a new home.
5) We could appoint a few clan members to serve as war coordinators.
This is our first war, and it looks like we are doing pretty well. It was certainly a learning experience, and I'd like to see us improve as we try again.

Since that was the first war i think more will be willing to wait on the th shifts after we have done the process. But we need to make sure all the th8s know that they go first. Most did well in last and have been talked too. The defense troops should all be maxed in my opinion, and we have willing maxed troop participants. We need to make sure each member has the request up what they like for defense. For prep day i think a few more wars and we can figure a good system on how advise on who to attack with what armies.. If we war very often i can see it being more of a chore to dictate who attacks who, but if we decide to war one time a week or less this would be an excellent idea to coordinate war time.
I am all for war time when we can! Of course real life always has its difficulties with playing games, so maybe we could call certain days war day... Like a weekend or a couple of days during a week. Personally i think everyone in a clan has different schedule so never is a perfect time... This was supposed to be a quick reply but i love clan wars its very fun and gj to all the clan members! Lets rock next one

Brandon,
1. 8 hour shifts was exactly what I had in mind, but everybody was so excited and itching to go that it didn't work out exactly as I had planned.
2. I think donations went better this time around. Not sure who trolled us the first war but this time CCs should help us a lot!!
3.I think the hard part about prep day is that they (and we) can still change our bases so its hard to know for sure what will work
Something to keep in mind for future wars i think is that battle day is 24 hours too so there's not a super rush to get our battles in too soon. We can spend some time scouting and discussing which strategies will work on which bases and still have time to build armies and attack.
4. Definitely we need to come to a clan decision on how often we want to do this.
5. Are you volunteering?!

Sorry Kel, I just saw your post.
I think the second war went much better than the first; maybe the chaos was just first time excitement. You definitely don't want to make me the war coordinator. I tend to prefer a strict structure (rules, etc.) and enforcing it explicitly. We would be very effective, but I suspect I'd get kicked before long because it wouldn't be fun for anyone. I guess what I'm really trying to say is I will back off a bit and try to tackle one war at a time. Happy wife clan, happy life.
