General
Western Prism is based on the principals of fun, friendship, respect and competitiveness.
-We believe this game should be fun before anything else.
-We're invested in our players, and believe it is important to have great, friendly, in-game relationships.
-We're respectful and sympathetic to all clan members.
-We strive to be competitive, both with other clans and within WP.
We expect our leadership and members to display these principals at all times.
Any member disagreeing on the policy or other matters has the right to speak up. This clan is not run by only the leader and elders, but by all members!
Western Prism is a sister clan to Eastern Prism and maintains a friendly relationship with EP. Members are allowed to move between clans. At times, the clans may combine to reach certain goals or compete against each other.
Leadership Council
Western Prism is led by a Leadership Council. The Council consists of the clan leader and up to 4 senior elders. If any of these members leave the clan (or choose to step down from the council) the remaining council along with 5 elder votes are needed to decide on their replacement. Elders may apply for council, or be nominated by their peers.
The Council is responsible for raising clan requirements, arranging clan competitions, and promotions of elders. The Council works with clan elders and seeks their opinions before making final decisions on behalf of the clan.
Minimum Requirements
All new members are to be 18 or older, with a minimum experience level of 80, and have level 5 archers.
Any exceptions to these requirements require a vote from at least 3 elders and At Least one Council vote.
All new members are expected to jell a joke on arrival. This joke may NOT be racist or hateful. A joke told in poor taste is subject to immediate ejection.
Donations
Lack of donations can lead to demotion or ejection.
Default donations are archers (level 5+), unless something else is specifically requested. Wizards (level 5+) will also be accepted as a standard donation unless otherwise stated.
Western Prism enforces a minimum donation level. 600 donations for members and 900 for elders are required each season. They are the minimum; there is no maximum. If you are online, you are to help fill requests. If you request troops, you need to help fill requests.
We also expect all members to regularly request troops. A minimum of 400 requests per season is required. This shows that members are raiding and participating in the clan. It is also essential that everyone request in order to allow members to meet donation requirements.
Activity
Lack of Activity can lead to demotion or ejection
If you are going to be inactive for more than 7 days, please let several elders know. Better yet, post to the forum.
If you are inactive without notification, you are subject to be ejected.
Elder Responsibilities
We expect our elders to adhere to our policies and encourage growth, to accept new members in accordance with policy and values, and to vote on ejecting disruptive, non-active, non-motivated members.
Promotion
A member is eligible for promotion if they have a) demonstrated the required donation levels, b) been active in the clan for at least a month, and c) have demonstrated the clan values of respect, friendship, and helpfulness.
Elders are expected to join the forum to keep abreast of clan events. No member will be promoted to elder without joining the forum.
Promotion requires approval by a majority (3 votes) of the council.
Demotion
Grounds for demotion include: a) lack of activity, b) lack of donations, c) failure to demonstrate the clan values, and d) failure to follow the clan policy with respect to promotions/ejections.
Demoted elders have a one week grace period before possible ejection.
Demotion requires the consent of the majority (3 votes) of the Council.
Ejection
We may eject people who are not meeting activity requirements. This will happen as necessary; usually near the end of the season or when the clan reaches capacity (50 members).
An ejection requires 3 votes. These must include At Least 1 Council vote. The reason must be stated. All three need to say "yes", "agree" or similar. Being quiet is not the same as agreeing.
Emergency/Unforeseen Situations
When prompt action is required, or an unforeseen circumstance arises, elders or the clan leader may take such action as they see fit. In these circumstances, you are strongly encouraged to seek consensus with other elders/members before taking action. Abuse of this power can lead to demotion or ejection.
