This is the strategy I'm more comfortable with (probably Omegadark too), so I'd love to write and chat about it.
Here's UnitySharp's Strategy
Here's mine:
An all air attack deactivates a lot of defenses(cannon, mortar, bombs, downward xbows, BK). Adding any ground defense to this strategy negates that fact. Don't do it. Balloons are slow and fragile, but do a ton of damage in groups. They always aim for defenses before anything else. Fortifying our balloons with spells will make them viable for high level attacks. Minions are quick clean-up units and can sweep in to grab a ton of loot, finish off the TH, our grab a few more buildings for the 50%.
Army Composition
-Set all four Barracks to make Balloons
-Set both Dark Barracks to make 25 Minions each (if I donate minions, I'll add three more to one and two to the other
-If you're consistently not getting enough DE to break even, try 40 minions instead of 50(slightly longer build time)
-If you're going for DE try to get a dragon in your CC, if not, more minions, archers, or wizards
-2 Rage, 1 Heal, 1 Lightening Spell, or 3 Rage, 1 lightening(I go back and forth)
Finding Victims
-Look for layouts with weaker air defense (exposed WT and AD, not maxed) and downward facing xbows
-Hunt for total loot in the 350k range
-Lure-able CCs and AQs are good too. A bunch of archers can do a lot of damage to your balloon army.
-ANY TH8
-Stay away from maxed mutli-target infernos, level 2+ upward xbows
Deployment
-Lure CC with minions and take out troops with lightening or minimal minions
-Lure AQ with minions and strike her down
-Deploy singular minions at various drop points to actuate and air mines(one air mine can take out a ton of grouped minions)
-Deploy all balloons in one or two lines(here's where its gets a little more complicated)
-Attack from one side, or two adjacent sides
-Attack from the side(s) with the most exposed WTs and ADs
-Deploy balloons close together but not so close that wizard towers can hit a lot at one time.
-Deploy rage spells very early on. This is important. You can lose a lot of loons just getting them from the drop point to the first defense. Don't worry as much about covering the most defenses with your rage. Worry more about getting them under rage quicker.
-Deploy heal or rage, if need to a grouping of loons that needs a little extra support, OR!
-deploy rage to a group of minions that needs the support to finish off the TH, get the 50%, or destroy some storages.
-deploy dragon if it has a straight shot to a loaded DE storage
I think that's about it. I'll probably edit this a few times. Reply if you have questions or suggestions!
